| Jerry Landrum (BMXMania.com) shot Mike Day’s Custom GT Power Series BMX bike with Profile white Mini Race hubs (titanium driver and ti-3/8″ bolts) surrounded with special Olympic Rims from Sun Rims. The special wheelset was laced onto pure white Sun Envy rims. Mike is also sporting a Profile white 40-stem and Profile SPC. Profile Master Wheelbuilder, Christian Henrich created these speedsters for Mike Day and Jill Kintner.Watch the Olympics BMX live on BBC 1 on the following times:
Wednesday 20th August: (Qualifying)

Racing Format:
Men:
2 Time Trials, – Best one counts and is used for lane choice in the first quarter-final. From their, lane choice is based on the rider’s previous race time. (ie. Rider X gets 1st in his 3rd quarter but his time is longer than the 3 other riders in that last round – he gets the 4th lane choice in the first round of semis)
3 Quarters – There are 4 quarters of 8 with fixed groups (no mixed motos) and they do three motos. Top 4 in each group transfer to semis 3 Semis – Two groups of 8 race three semis each with top 4 going to the main Main – One lap for the Gold!
Women:
2 Time Trials, – Best one counts and is used for lane choices for the first semi
3 Semis – Two groups of 8 race three semis each with top 4 going to the main
