I got to Orlando a couple of weeks ago and persuaded Ty to come down from PA for a while. He turned up the following day, so we figured we would head down to Sarasota with Mulville and DeGroot We packed up for the weekend and went and met up with Conall, Matt Coplon, McDermott and a few others.
Just around the corner from Conall’s house are a couple of tight trannied 1/4’s that some of the locals made, so we rode them for a bit then drove to an old boat hull that is pretty sketchy to ride.
Conall got a a double flat because one of the paper thin bits of wood covering the foot and a half gap at the bottom of it, surprising eh! I had ridden them before on the”weird Florida” roadtrip a couple of years back, so once everyone was done riding took off and rode some homemade ramps in the woods. They were pretty urm……. flexable which made them pretty good to ride. Kinda scary to hear the one layer 9mm rotten ply crack below ya wheels, but nevertheless they were sweet. The guys that built them turned up and told me their ramp company was “seemless ramps” which I thought was kinda funny.
What else………. That was it for Saturday. Sunday we ended up riding Sarasota park (Tim Pain in the arse built, ie, no bikes) so we jumped the fence and rode for a couple of hours. Then the good ol’ police turned up so we had to make a quick escape before we got tickets. So that put end to that. I cant remember what happened after that, and I dont think I have any other pics, soooooooo, thats it for now.
